Sketching and watercoloring on the spot can deepen memories and sense of place. By taking a moment to sketch and color, you enhance your experience of a place and create a record of how you felt at the moment. In this Zoom workshop, we will cover travel sketching materials, how to recognize inspiration and set your focal point, and how to use the composition, shapes, lines and palette to record and express your feelings of the place. If you choose, you may join in practicing landscape sketching and watercoloring during the workshop. If so, please bring a photo image of a favorite outdoor place, watercolors, watercolor paper (glued pad on at least 2 sides preferred), sketching pencil, eraser, and a fine point waterproof drawing marker.
