Dorothy Loved Children
Dorothy Cunningham was an art teacher in the San Leandro United School District for many years and a valued member of SLAA.
In her honor we give out grants to grade-school art specialists within the SLUSD to purchase supplies for special projects. At our Art Shows we display the art created in the project. We currently give out three $300 grants but we are always looking for other ways to support children’s discovery of art expression. We fundraise at our Art Shows by raffling off artwork donated by our talented members.
A new way we are fundraising is by selling greeting cards we created highlighting the artwork of six grade-school artists.
