Sculpture using Construction Paper for Students Grades 1-5

In this course students will have fun making paper sculptures. We will begin by talking about sculpture as a three dimensional art form, and what makes it different from two dimensional art, such as drawing and painting. Students will be making sculptures using colorful construction paper, which they will be adhering to a sturdy cardboard base. We will explore different methods of cutting paper, curling it, and folding it to make exciting 3D shapes and characters. Students will be able to glue these forms to their cardboard base to make their own interesting worlds. We will even incorporate some cut out magazine pictures. So signup and have fun making your own personal paper sculpture worlds!
